C-Corporation Returns (Form 1120)

Federal and state Form 1120 returns for C-corporations, prepared virtually for clients nationwide by an IRS Enrolled Agent.

What We Need

What we need to get started

Your bookkeeping should be finished before we begin. Here is what to gather for your C-corporation return.

What we need

  • Profit and loss statement and balance sheet
  • Prior year's tax return
  • A list of officers and shareholders with ownership percentages
  • Officer compensation and employee payroll (W-2s, W-3, and the year's 941s and 940)
  • Cash or property any shareholder contributed to the corporation this year
  • Dividends paid to shareholders
  • A list of assets or purchases made during the year to depreciate
  • Estimated tax payments the corporation made during the year

Different from an S-corp: a C-corporation pays tax on its own profits and makes its own estimated payments through the year — so those payment records matter here. We'll also watch for the double tax on dividends and plan around it where we can.

What's included

  • Review of your bookkeeping, profit and loss statement, and balance sheet
  • Complete preparation of your federal C-corporation return
  • Reconciling book income to tax income (Schedules M-1 and M-2)
  • Secure electronic filing with the IRS and your state
  • A copy of your completed return in your secure client portal
  • If we make an error on your return, we fix it

* Please note: preparation timelines begin once all required documents are uploaded to your secure client portal. Not sure what applies to you? We'll walk through it together on a quick phone call.
